Licensed Electrologist, Esteem Electrology

Emma’s electrology journey started five years ago when she decided to stop plucking her coarse chin hairs—thanks, genetics and hormones!—and start doing something about the hairs and angry ingrowns that resulted from plucking.

Luckily, Emma has three generations of wise elders: her Grandma, Mom, and Esteem Electrology’s very own Kelsey Hume, her sister. These three knew electrology is the only FDA-approved permanent hair removal method and saw its effective results firsthand. 

A few years and a baby later, a less hairy Emma left her job teaching Science and Technical Communication at Iowa State University and said, “Smell ya later!” to reading and commenting on upwards of 500 papers each semester. In search of a hands-on and people-centered career, she did what little sisters do: copied her big sister. Emma attended the Madison Institute of Electrology to become a licensed electrologist.
